Kirsty

Kirsty McCall - Account Manager & Operations Lead

Most challenging or fun event in your career: 1400 delegates with 50 sponsors & 3 simultaneous breakout sessions for a 1-day conference at Wembley Stadium

Best thing about working at Chill Out! I started with Chill Out! in its second year so I obviously love it! Fantastic colleagues and loyal, longstanding clients where we really become part of their team!

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Having been here since 2006, I really am part of the furniture!  It has been so motivating watching us grow so quickly beyond our former pre-pandemic glory. We now have a great team with boundless energy, ideas and creativity, which is exciting to be a part of.

Dan

Dan Preston - Senior Event Manager

Most challenging or fun event in your career: Being part of two TED talks which can viewed on YouTube!

Best thing about working at Chill Out! Working with a great team on a wide variety of different projects. It’s a close-knit, high-energy team where all voices matter and every event detail is taken care of.

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? I have lived in two other countries (US and France) as well as the UK!

Amy

Amy Rodgers - Senior Event Manager

Most challenging or fun event in your career: I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some amazing locations over the years. Some highlights were an exclusive tour of the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx where we were met by camels at sunset. More challenging but equally exciting has been product launch events, training staff from car dealerships around the country. Delegates would drive the latest model of BMW around tracks with professional racing drivers, so they knew the USP.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! Working with an amazing, inspiring team and having a laugh along the way!

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? Travelling when I was 18! I had worked for 6 months prior, with a view to spending all my earnings exploring the big wide world!  For me, it was the most amazing adventure which gave me the travelling bug, so much so I did it all again a few years later.

Lindsey

Lindsey Thompson - Finance Manager

Most challenging or fun event in your career: The most fun had to be a big project that I worked on for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Being part of this once-in-a-lifetime event felt like an absolute privilege (especially as I’m a big sports fan!).

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The fabulous team here. Great camaraderie and everyone pitches in to help each other. Plenty of positive energy and good-humoured banter too. Essential when working in events!

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? Skiing in Vail, Colorado – incredible snow…learning to windsurf in Maui with a national windsurfing champion…experiencing the Norweigan Fjiords by boat – magnificent…and finally a looong time ago – working as a textile designer and agent in NYC in my early 20s.

Hayley

Hayley McGovern - Event Executive

Most challenging or fun event in your career: As a child I always wanted to be a pilot so you can imagine my excitement when a client asked us to charter a plane to take all their delegates out to Copenhagen for an event. We had our own check in desk, lots of branded bits on the plane including the head rest covers on the seats. This was a unique and very fun experience.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The team, being at work is not like being at work, we all get on so well, the office is relaxed and the flexibility we are offered is fantastic and makes being a working mum possible.

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? I drove myself and 8 friends in a super large truck from Vegas to Hoover Dam and then on to the Grand Canyon. I then took a helicopter ride across the canyon with my best friend. On the way back we went through a McDonalds drive thru and tried to give our order in an American accent, we failed!! We only lost a wing mirror in the whole trip – haha!!

Jo

Jo Naisbitt - Event Manager

Most challenging or fun event in your career: Organising a two day conference and team building event for 300 people around the London Olympic Park, using multiple venues and having 2012 medal winners as guests.

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? Going snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef.

Sophie

Sophie Miller - Event Executive

Most challenging or fun event in your career: I’m at the beginning of my events career, but I’ve already learned so much here at Chill Out! and had the opportunity to see some amazing events come together.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! One of the best things about Chill Out! is the supportive and friendly team that makes everyone feel welcome.

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? The most exciting thing I have ever done is paragliding in Ayia Napa.

Sam

Sam Stirrup - Client Services Director

Most challenging or fun event in your career: So many to choose from. A standout challenge was a UK wide roadshow using two HGV display lorries; one for presentations, one for hands on demos. We moved 12 staff through 15 locations back to back, packing down each night and setting up again before guests arrived. It was a logistical puzzle, but I love turning complex problems into smooth, enjoyable experiences for clients.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The team. They’re talented, supportive and genuinely care about getting things right. My role is to set the high standards we work to, making sure every event feels polished, personal and well looked after. The team always delivers above and beyond!

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? Hosting groups in Lapland and Hawaii have to be up there. But I’ve been with Chill Out! since the beginning, so I’ve collected countless exciting memories with clients new and old. Many have become firm friends. It’s been the most exciting time of my working life and it still is!

Kim

Kim Boehm - Event Executive

Most challenging or fun event in your career: It’s got to be one of the first large events I assisted with whilst here at Chill Out! It was the first time we as a ‘new’ team were all onsite together.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The team dynamic. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a team gel as quickly and effectively as this one!

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? Having worked for a game reserve in South Africa, I have MANY exciting experiences to speak of! Nothing could be better than tracking and watching the big 5 in the untamed beauty of Africa.  Another thrilling but scary experience was being far too close to a huge elephant and having them suddenly turn around and chase our Land drover. Luckily, our ranger was quick thinking and threw the vehicle into reverse… Eek!

Lucy

Lucy Boulden - Event Executive

Most challenging or fun event in your career: As this is my first job in the events industry, I haven’t yet had the chance to experience an event. However, I look forward to helping plan and carry out future events with the team.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The Chill Out! team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive during my first weeks coming into the world of events. Everyday is different and it’s so nice having different opportunities come up.

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? The most exciting thing I have ever done is go skiing in France.

Kate

Kate Wolf - US Lead

Most challenging or fun event in your career: Planning a Christmas party for 400 guests with only two weeks’ notice. I handled everything from securing the venue and building a stage to booking entertainment, coordinating décor, and arranging catering. Despite the tight timeline, the event came together seamlessly and was a huge success.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! Being part of a fast-growing agency is incredibly gratifying because there’s a shared energy and commitment to excellence that drives everything we do. It’s inspiring to work alongside people who are so invested, collaborative, and passionate about delivering outstanding results.

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done? Moving to NYC at 21 without having visited before. It was a leap into the unknown that pushed me out of my comfort zone and shaped who I am today.

Neill

Neill Hendry - Managing Director & Owner Chill Out! Event Management

Most challenging or fun event in your career: There have been many, but it’s still hard to beat managing rotations of 200 delegates over 24 hours from across EMEA into Barcelona over 3 months in 2008 when I was managing a large car launch event!

Best thing about working at Chill Out! It has got to be the team, our loyal client base and the personalised service that we offer to all of our clients. It’s very rewarding here.

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Joining the team in 2018 after many years spent working at large MICE agencies and then in a Global role for a large international hotel chain, it was refreshing to be able to apply lots of the skills and knowledge I had learned into a more bespoke environment.
