Most challenging or fun event in your career: 1400 delegates with 50 sponsors & 3 simultaneous breakout sessions for a 1-day conference at Wembley Stadium

Best thing about working at Chill Out! I started with Chill Out! in its second year so I obviously love it! Fantastic colleagues and loyal, longstanding clients where we really become part of their team!

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Having been here since 2006, I really am part of the furniture!  It has been so motivating watching us grow so quickly beyond our former pre-pandemic glory. We now have a great team with boundless energy, ideas and creativity, which is exciting to be a part of.

Most challenging or fun event in your career: An event on a building site for a topping out ceremony, it had no lighting, walls or windows and an hour beforehand it was a fully working site! Oh, and a wedding during heavy rain when the registrar had to be brought to the venue on a tractor as the roads were flooded, so many great events over the years.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The team, an incredible group of women (and Neill!) who bring so much knowledge and creativity to work every day.

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Having the flexibility to do whatever is needed for our clients, time and time again.

Most challenging or fun event in your career: The Global Gift Gala hosted by Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham; a large charity event for the Global Gift Foundation which aims to create a positive impact on the lives of children, women and families. It was the first event of its kind at the Park Lane property since re-opening. From start to finish it was a challenging yet super exciting project and such a team effort across all hotel departments, which was lovely to see and be a part of.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The team, as the people here can really help make your day!

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Having the opportunity to help shape the company and its future.

Most challenging or fun event in your career: There are too many to mention! I am lucky to have once worked in Asia and organising an event in rural China to see Pandas for a large group was very challenging given the language barrier. I also once organised an event looking for a Rural Bachelor of the Year which was lots of fun and laughs!

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The range of events we get to work on, and the client relationships we build!

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? We get to push the boundaries, suggest ideas and actually see them put into place.

Amy

Amy Rodgers - Event Manager

How many years working in the events industry? 20 years including an extended family break!

Most challenging or fun event in your career: I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some amazing locations over the years. Some highlights were an exclusive tour of the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx where we were met by camels at sunset. More challenging but equally exciting has been product launch events, training staff from car dealerships around the country. Delegates would drive the latest model of BMW around tracks with professional racing drivers, so they knew the USP.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! Working with an amazing, inspiring team and having a laugh along the way!

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Having the opportunity to work on a variety of events, with some fantastic clients at a range of venues.

Lindsey Thompson - Event Manager

How many years working in the events industry? Over 7 years (and an 8 year break!).

Most challenging or fun event in your career: The most fun had to be a big project that I worked on for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Being part of this once-in-a-lifetime event felt like an absolute privilege (especially as I’m a big sports fan!).

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The fabulous team here. Great camaraderie and everyone pitches in to help each other. Plenty of positive energy and good-humoured banter too. Essential when working in events!

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Chill Out has a great culture. The business is busy and a hive of activity and growth which is exciting. The future is looking bright!

Most challenging or fun event in your career: As a child I always wanted to be a pilot so you can imagine my excitement when a client asked us to charter a plane to take all their delegates out to Copenhagen for an event. We had our own check in desk, lots of branded bits on the plane including the head rest covers on the seats. This was a unique and very fun experience.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The team, being at work is not like being at work, we all get on so well, the office is relaxed and the flexibility we are offered is fantastic and makes being a working mum possible.

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Every day is different, and no challenge is too big or small.

Most challenging or fun event in your career: We recently ran an event in Spain for 350 guests, this was super fun due to the busyness and the buzz of the event.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The best thing about working at chill out is the variety of enquires we have coming in; this means that every day is different and exciting as we are always thinking of new creative ways to wow our clients! I’m so excited to start my event career here!

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Constantly working with new concepts and ideas, growing your own knowledge while the company grows too is very rewarding.

Kim

Kim Boehm - Event Support and Office Manager

How many years working in the events industry? 1 – but many more in the Travel Industry!

Most challenging or fun event in your career: It’s got to be one of the first large events I assisted with whilst here at Chill Out! It was the first time we as a ‘new’ team were all onsite together.

Best thing about working at Chill Out! The team dynamic. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a team gel as quickly and effectively as this one!

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Transitioning from working in the wider Travel Industry at Tour operators in Game Lodges and travel agencies, it’s been fantastic to discover how transferable my skills are to the event sector.

Sara

Sara Buckmaster - Finance Manager

How long at Chill Out? 5 years

Most challenging or fun part of your job: Chill Out! has some very long-term partnerships, so you really get to know your customers and suppliers. The challenges usually come from managing the long payment terms that are the norm for large tech companies versus the immediate needs of event suppliers!

Best thing about working at Chill Out! A great team to be part of and the variety of work. Finance work can be very repetitive wherever you are but there are always lots of different things going on here at the same time and it keeps everything interesting, even if it gets a little crazy sometimes!

Neill

Neill Hendry - Managing Director & Owner Chill Out! Event Management

How many years working in the events industry? 24

Most challenging or fun event in your career: There have been many, but it’s still hard to beat managing rotations of 200 delegates over 24 hours from across EMEA into Barcelona over 3 months in 2008 when I was managing a large car launch event!

Best thing about working at Chill Out! It has got to be the team, our loyal client base and the personalised service that we offer to all of our clients. It’s very rewarding here.

Why is it great being part of a fast-growing agency? Joining the team in 2018 after many years spent working at large MICE agencies and then in a Global role for a large international hotel chain, it was refreshing to be able to apply lots of the skills and knowledge I had learned into a more bespoke environment.
